Back from sec 1 camp. Man.. was it a different experience. It was really hard to get them to listen, and most of them are ignorant and would talk back. I don't know why but i seriously hope they would change. But there was a minority who were willing to step out of their comfort zone, show leadership and compassion, which was commendable :D
some were cute little guys and look like they were p3 or p4 rather than a sec 1 but looks CAN be deceiving haha!
Well it was a great effort guys, red shirts and black shirts alike! and also to the teachers and our camp commandress, ms sheika! :D :D :D
Brief Summary of camp
Day 1
Reached VS aound 6.30. Saw friends in long pants but im in pe shorts xD Sec 1s started arriving around 6.45 and overwhelmed the canteen. A tussle here and a tussle there to get them settled. and boy was it messy.. whew.. got them ready for morning assembly and brought them up to the parade square.
after that we loaded their bags into a lorry to be transported to the campsite directly. We walked there by the ECP, just like Veloci-T and with a much LIGHTER load. Reached the camp site around 11, 12.
Had lunch and had to go to our General Stations.
Mood: Enthu and Happy.
Day 2: Campfire Night
Woke up repeatedly cos of the cold and the sec 1s woke up at 5 and started coming to the canteen! o.O Did general stations in the morning and went for kayaking in the afternoon and it was GREAT.. but sunburned me face D: the planes swooped down to land at the nearby changi airport and was VERY VERY LOUD.
Campfire was not exactly HIGH in a sense cos the sec 1s weren't enthu. A "red shirt-black shirt" campfire as someone said. But overall enjoyable by the skits the classes did. 1F was the best. Entertaining! :D *tinklebell*
had pizza with red shirts and black shirts specially from ms sheika, thanks mam!!
Mood: Swinging around..
Day 3: Home sweet home
Area Cleaning. Simple as that. Had a group session with the red shirts and it was a rather "enriching" joke session. thanks to all people like pierre and sol. :D
Reached home. Took a nap and overslept and missed jansen's appointment. DAM!!! SORRY DUDE!! was too tired =.= zzz..
